Join HR Annie Consulting for our 2024 Legal Update webinar this August, presented by Kara Craig, Employment Attorney at Vigilant Law Group.

A lot has happened (and keeps happening) in the world of employment law in 2024 at the state and federal levels. It’s hard to keep up! In this webinar, Kara will cover:

  1. Recent developments in state law, including changes to leave laws
  2. New federal wage and hour regulations governing exemptions from minimum wage and overtime and non-competes
  3. Expanded federal protections for pregnant workers
  4. What Oregon employers need to do now to comply with new legal requirements


After this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Modify policies and leave administrative procedures to comply with changes to the Oregon Family Leave Act (OFLA) and Paid Leave Oregon (PLO).
  • Conduct an analysis to determine if a position meets an exemption under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) under new rules governing salary requirements.
  • Implement the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act and existing state anti-discrimination protections for pregnant employees in both policies and practice.
