Job searching and interviewing can feel intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be, and it can even include moments to laugh along the way! Join HR Annie’s recruiters & Kickstand Comedy to bring a unique, supportive, and energizing workshop that uses improv to strengthen confidence, communication, and adaptability in the hiring process.
Through fun, no-pressure improv exercises, participants will:
- Build confidence speaking on the spot
- Practice thinking quickly and responding authentically
- Gain tools for handling interview nerves and curveball questions
- Strengthen presence, listening, and self‑trust
- Reframe interviews as conversations, not interrogations
You do not need any improv or performance experience to participate!
We’ll also share practical connections between improv skills and real-world interview scenarios, helping you walk away with mindset shifts, tangible tools, and a few good laughs you can carry into your job search.
Serendipity: Future Ready is a unique FREE field trip experience that gives students and young adults direct access to successful entrepreneurs and thriving Portland businesses to help them explore possible career futures. This isn’t job shadowing—it’s real conversations, real exposure, and the kind of real-world learning that can spark new ideas for what’s next.
Who Should Attend
For EO Members’ teens and young adults to experience direct access to successful entrepreneurs and real-world job exposure.
(EO Members are welcome but do not need to attend with their children—if they can drive, they can join in solo):
